Are there places that you see regularly that make you want to stop and shoot some photos? Or is the question how many?
I have very many! One of these places is Still River, Ontario.
Still River is a small village south of Sudbury on Highway #69. For many of us it is best known for the OPP Police Station. Slow down or you might get pinched!
We stopped in the village for 45 minutes when my photo group and I were returning from shooting in Burwash this spring. The photos are from one area of the village along the highway and isn't necessarily a true depiction of the village. The area looks like it might have been the village centre at one point with 2 gas stations, a restaurant, and a motel.
One day I'd like to spend some time and explore the area. I think it is a treasure trove of small town urbex, landscapes and nature subjects.
I hope to make more of these stops this summer and fall. Enjoy the images.
